Tears flowed in Warri, Delta state on Wednesday, November 30 as sympathisers gathered to watch a horrific site after a truck carrying sachet water crushed four school children and a middle-aged woman.
Eye-witnesses told New Telegraph that the school children, whose ages ranged between eight and 12 years, were trying to cross to the other side of the road when the truck ran them over.
It was learnt that while trying to avoid the children, the driver swerved off the road and rammed the vehicle into a store where the woman was seated.

It was learnt that the body of the deceased was tore into pieces while two of the children had their skulls ripped open.
“As soon as I noticed the speed with which the driver was coming I decided to jump to the other side of my store; if not I would have been dead by now,” a woman who narrowly escaped the accident explained.
The accident attracted scores of people at the scene with many making efforts to identify the deceased.

Similarly, an auto crash which occurred on Monday, November 29, along the Ubakala, Umuahia South axis of the Enugu-Port Harcourt express way, has led to the death of 4 people.
An eyewitness account said four vehicles including a Toyota Hilux van with registration number CG 539RSH, a Peugeot J5 bus marked XA 874 AKW, and a Mercedes Benz tipper with No EGG 555 YG as well as a commercial bus were involved in the accident.
