Cash calls: Reps summon NAPIMS, Shell, Mobil, Total, AGIP others

THE House of Representatives Committee on Petroleum Resources (upstream) has expressed its determination to ensure that Nigerians are not short-changed in the various joint venture sharing arrangements between the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and major international oil companies by beaming its searchlight to cash calls budget performance of 2013.
To this end, the committee has summoned the CEOs of Shell Petroleum Development Company Limited, Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited, Chevron Nigeria Limited, Total Exploration and Production Nigeria Limited, Nigeria Agip Oil Company Limited, and Pan Ocean Oil Corporation.
The committee also summoned the management of National Petroleum Investment Management Services (NAPIMS) to appear before it on November 18, with all necessary documents on 2013 budget cash calls.
The affected Chief Executive Officers of the IOCs are summoned to appear before the committee to defend the Joint Venture agreements they have with NAPIMS tagged cash calls.
