A spokesman for the Chadian government had
claimed that soldiers from Chad and Niger on
Tuesday, March 31, drove Boko Haram
terrorists from a northern Nigeria border town
which they have occupied since 2014.

The town of Malam Fatori, which was taken by
Boko Haram in November, had been the scene
of fighting between coalition forces and the
militants, and military sources incorrectly
claimed to have recaptured it in January.
