Popular Nigerian Artiste Turn Politician Counts Losses On Last Election

Months after the Nigerian general elections has gone with elected officials inaugurated to their respective elected positions and losers going back to their bases for a rethink of the next elections.  Nigerian singer Muma Gee one of the entertainers who delved into politics during the last election and contested on the platform of the then ruling PDP as member of Rivers State House of Representatives.

The singer who is married to Nollywood actor, Prince Eke, in a recent chat with Saturday Beats, revealed she spent so much money to realise her political ambition but she added that she does not regret her decision to join politics. According to her,  

“I lost a lot of money. I am in red now but I know I will recover,” it would be recalled that the singer said her political ambition is not all about money during her declaration last year.

“All I know is that there was no election in my state. I don’t regret that I wanted to salvage the ruins in my community and liberate my people. It was just that somebody robbed us the chances of doing that. If the people had the privilege to vote, I would be representing them by now. There was much violence,” she added…. 

The singer and her husband welcomed their twins last year at a star studded child dedication.
