The Nigerian Army is set to deploy troops to some areas in Gombe state in an effort checkmate the activities of terrorists and prevent them from sneaking into porous areas.
Lt-General-Tukur-Buratai has reiterated the desire of the army to put an end to terrorism in the country
The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant-General Tukur Burutai, who disclosed this in his routine check-up on troops in the northeast said the deployment of troops to porous area would help rid the northeast of terrorists, Todayng reports.

The army chief also reiterated the desire of the army to put an end to terrorism in the country and called for cordial relationship between the military, government and the people of the state.
The army chief said that Nigerian Armed Forces had within the deadline given by President Muhammadu Buhari, crushed the Boko Haram sect and significantly destroyed its enclaves on Nigerian territory.

Meanwhile, Mansur Muhammad Dan-Ali, the minister of defence, has assured soldiers of the government’s determination to provide the needed logistics in the northeast to end the insurgency in the country.
Dan-Ali gave the assurance on Friday, December 25, at a Christmas lunch in Damaturu organised for troops fighting the Boko Haram sect.
