There is a viral video making the rounds, it shows an official of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), slapping a commuter and threatening him with ‘Oruka’ (charm).
The video which has stirred uproar on social media was posted by a twitter user with the handle @AmbodeObsarver.
It showed a yet-to-be-identified official of LASTMA slapping a commuter who was seen cleaning a car. After the slap, the official charged at him, raining curses and threatening to use charm on the commuter but he was restrained by an on-looker.

It would be recalled that there was a similar event in 2014. According to The Punch, one Taye Shittu, an official of the transport management agency was arrested by policemen attached to Pen Cinema Police Station for allegedly slapping a Chief Magistrate, Mrs Komolafe Abimbola, of Court 2, Ikeja, Lagos.
LASTMA officials have in recent times been in the news for certain compromising acts. Few weeks back, LASTMA officials were in the news following a face-off with an army cadet and some men of the Nigerian police force.
