The Punch reports that the former majority leader in the state House of Assembly pledged his loyalty to the Ali Modu Sheriff leadership of the party and added that he would participate in the primary election of the group scheduled for June 28.‎

Recall that Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu won the primary election with a total of 584 votes. He defeated his two other opponents, Iduoriyekemwen and Solomon Edebiri, who got 91 and 38 votes, respectively.

Meanwhile, a former director general of the PDP governors’ forum, Osaro Onaiwu, has picked the form to contest in the Edo gubernatorial election.

The ex-DG has now pitched his tent with the All Progressives Grand Alliance and his new party has confirmed his interest in the September 10 gubernatorial election in the state.
