Panic in militant camps: Read what secret agents did

Security agencies have reportedly infiltrated militancy enclave and using some militants as secret agents.

Militant groups in the Niger Delta region are said to have grown panicky over the depth of information the secret agents might have given out on their modus-operandi and hideaways.

Report has it that a former commander of the defunct Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND), is allegedly one of the moles recruited by security agencies to track down ex-militant leader, Government Ekpemupolo, alias Tompolo, who has been on the run and has been labeled a sponsor of the crisis despite his denials.

According to report, the volunteers and some seized suspects have been helping the security agencies in their investigations. Some Niger Delta activists who are not happy with the destruction of oil facilities in the region were also volunteering information.

One of the key suspect arrested by men of the Nigeria Navy Ship, Delta, allegedly spilled the bean on how the Niger Delta Avengers operate.

“In fact, due to the critical information he was releasing on the operations of Avengers and how he led in some of pipeline blowing escapades, they transferred him from Warri to Abuja for him to be in safe custody and there is likelihood of using him as prosecution witness,” a source hinted.

Speaking on the matter, the commander of NNS Delta, Commodore Raimi Mohammed said they have been able to make more arrest following useful information given by a particular suspect.
