Mustafi’s agent Ali Bulut confirmed: “Shkodran and Arsenal have reached an agreement, the clubs now only have to agree on the fee”.
However, according to Daily Mirror, Valencia are demanding a fee of £25 million for defender Shkodran Mustafi while Arsenal unwilling to pay such an amount.
Bulut also stressed: “This is the only important thing for now. I cannot confirm anything [regarding how close a deal is]. This is a matter concerning only Valencia and my son.”
And Goal reported that Arsenal’s failure to thrash out a deal with Valencia has seen other clubs show an interest in him.
Mustafi’s father and manager says that “very soon you will know about the future of Mustafi” and claimed that “‘two or more clubs are in negotiations” with the player, while there is also interest from other unnamed European sides.
However, Goal notes that Arsenal remain confident of signing Mustafi as transfer talks between the Gunners and Valencia continue.
