This past weekend must have been one to remember for controversial OAP Ifedayo Olarinde aka Freeze after reports came in from various sources that he had been sacked from radio station Cool FM – a station he has called home for over 15 years.

Some said it was as result of his recent feud with comedians Basketmouth & Bovi while others including Freeze himself confirmed that missing an important meeting with the CEO of AIM Group Amin Mousalli may have been responsible for the sacking. However, new details have emerged to the circumstances regarding his dismissal.

A source who is close to the situation revealed exclusively to NAIJ.com that it is true Freeze was sacked. “Yes it is true. But he had it coming. It’s not the first time he had been late for meetings. He had initially been fined N15, 000 for that offence but I guess this one was the one that broke the Camel’s back. Also, you know the company is undergoing some issues and they are looking to lay off staff. Since Freeze earns over N500, 000 monthly, this may just be an excuse by the company to lighten their financial burden.”

Freeze hasn’t responded to these reports except to threaten two bloggers (Instablog9ja and http://bit.ly/2bwH7i4) who carried the story for what he called their slanderous reporting of the story or he will sue them. We are monitoring the story and we will bring you updates as soon as it breaks.
