Nigeria in danger! Army uncovers next targets of Boko Haram

– The DHQ has said that the Boko Haram is planning to attack police stations, prison facilities, schools and market places

– It says that the targets of the terrorists are situated across different states and Abuja, Nigeria’s capital

The Nigerian army headquarters has uncovered plans by the deadly Boko Haram sect to attack public places in Abuja, the south east state of Imo and security posts in the north of Nigeria.

The statement signed by one Colonel Sulaiman on behalf of the chief of army staff was distributed to all security and intelligence outfits. It’s titled “Plans By Boko Haram Terrorists Group To Attack Locations And Other Parts Of The Country.”

The army said: “Information at the disposal of the headquarters strongly points to plans by BHT terrorist group to attack various locations in different parts of the country. The targeted areas include but not limited to police stations, prison facilities, schools and market places. Details show that the terrorist group intends to target police stations/formations in Abuja, Kano, Kebbi and Sokoto states while prisons facilities will be attacked in Adamawa states”.

It further added: “The terrorists are reported to have deployed foot soldiers to carry out attacks on markets in Bauchi, Katsina and Imo states. Similarly, schools that are presently being reopened in Adamawa, Borno and Yobe states are also at risk in the light of the wide ranging plot by the group to cause wide scale destruction.

“In view of the above, I am directed to inform you of this imminent threat and respectfully request that you take all necessary proactive measures to prevent BHTs from carrying out these heinous acts. Please treat as very urgent and acknowledge”.

Buratai has on August 8 insisted that the Nigerian military had defeated Boko Haram terrorist sect.

This came as the leader of the sect Abubakar Shekau threatened to attack President Buhari, military chiefs and other senior officials in a new video recently released by the group.

Last week the Islamic State has announced  Abu Musab al-Barnawi as a new leader for terrorist group Boko Haram, however, Abubakar Shekau has treated a new appointment as deception.
