Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech has revealed that his favourite save ever came in extra time of the 2012 Champions League final during his time at Chelsea against Bayern Munich.

The former Czech republic goalie saved Arjen Robben’s penalty in the second half of extra time with the scores tied at 1 – 1 as Chelsea went on to win the final on penalties.

The veteran goalkeeper was this week awarded with the Guinness World Record for the most Premier League clean-sheets of any goalkeeper to grace the English top-flight, 181 from 373 total starts in the Premier League.

“Obviously if you face a penalty in the Champions League final, in extra time, you know if you concede then it’s all over,” the keeper said while receiving his award.

He added: “You know your dream to win the Champions League is all gone, I have to take this penalty save.

“It’s one of those saves you will always remember.”

The shot-stopper spent 11 years  at Stamford Bridge with Chelsea before a move to North-London with Arsenal in the summer of 2015 for £10m.
